Art for the Sake of Humanity - House Concert SOLD OUT
Please Read: π
Art for the Sake of Humanity is an immersive restorative listening space created to deepen our connections to sound, each other, and to the energy of life which our body holds. The sound space will integrate human-generated tones of gentle vocals, processed harp, and nature based instruments.
We call all caretakers and artists and sensitive ones who may feel drained from a system that is extractive even of our own bodies. We open this space as a reminder of the importance of art to keep us grounded and return to our humanness. Art does not have to be about perfection, recognition, accolades, and commodities. We remind each other that we can create art for the sake of art, for the sake of humanity, and for the sake of collective care.
We will also have a special song sharing from Pam who has learned Freedom Songs in Minneapolis, MN β βThese are songs that can easily be sung together. Songs of empowerment and collective perseverance. Pam will share a couple of these songs at the end of the sound meditation for us to learn and pass on.
